Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut Millesime

Dom Ruinart · 2002

FranceChampagne (Montagne de Reims & Côte des Blancs)100% Chardonnay12.5% ABV

The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation and was aged for a minimum of 6 to 10 years on its lees in Ruinart’s historic, UNESCO-listed underground chalk crayères before its initial disgorgements (around 2011–2012) with a precise dosage of 6.5 g/l. The 2002 growing season in Champagne is regarded as a legendary, "prodigious" vintage. Near perfect weather conditions throughout the year yielded opulent, highly concentrated, and perfectly ripe Chardonnay grapes.
