Domaine Patrick Baudouin Savennieres Bellevue

Domaine Patrick Baudouin · 2019

FranceLoire Valley (Montlouis-sur-Loire)Chenin Blanc13% ABV

This organic, single-vineyard dry white is crafted from 35-year-old vines planted in the ochre clay and talc-infused slate soils of the iconic Bellevue plateau. Harvested entirely by hand over multiple vineyard passes to isolate perfectly ripe fruit, the juice is slowly fermented with native ambient yeasts and aged for 10 months in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% one year old). The exceptionally warm 2019 vintage shines through with a highly textured, ample mouthfeel that showcases plush aromas of yellow orchard peach, acacia honey, cardamom spice, and dried figs, all perfectly counterbalanced by an integrated acidic arc and a fine-grained, salty, volcanic schist minerality.
