Lise & Bertrand Jousset Montlouis-sur-Loire 'Clos Aux Renards' Singulier

Lise & Bertrand Jousset · 2012

FranceLoire Valley (Montlouis-sur-Loire)Chenin Blanc13.5% ABV

This natural white wine is crafted from exceptionally old vines—ranging from 60 to 80 years old—situated within a single parcel in the clay-limestone soils of the prized Clos aux Renards vineyard. Fermented natively in seasoned 400- and 600-liter French oak barrels and bottled completely free of added sulfur, the mature 2012 vintage expresses a rich, beautifully evolved palette of plush aromas featuring poached quince, orchard honey, baked golden apple, and a faint oxidative touch of dried fruits, all seamlessly structured around a dense, wax-coated texture and a deep bedrock of wet stone minerality.
