Les Jardin de la Martinière “Sans Traitement”

Kaya Tsutsui · 2019

FranceLoire Valley (Anjou/Vin de France)Cabernet Franc12.5% ABV

Sourced from 15-year-old vines rooted in clay-limestone soils on a relatively flat, southeast-facing parcel. True to its name "Sans Traitement" (Without Treatment), it stands as the ultimate expression of zero-intervention winemaking by Kaya Tsutsui, fermented natively with ambient yeasts, aged with zero chemical inputs, and bottled completely unfined, unfiltered, and with no added sulfur. The sunny and warm 2019 vintage balances the vineyard's youth with a wonderfully succulent, unadorned texture highlighting plush aromas of wild blackcurrant, dark field berries, and fresh potting soil, finishing with a beautifully raw, stony mineral crunch.
